All the ingredients for a great afternoon lunch. Smoothie, sparkling water, dos equis, dice, salad, burger, fries, hand sanitizer, beach, clear blue skies.

FERRY PASSES IN FRONT OF THE SUN

Taken from the deck at Villa Rolandi.

HOW TO DRINK LIKE A FISH

This is part of our series of helpful tips to navigate the waters of Isla. Many people have heard the phrase "drink like a fish." But honestly, have you ever seen a fish drink? So we did in depth research, undercover, and placed several cans of Sol on a kitchen counter. Sure enough, after many hours, several fish appeared and we caught them in the act. I'm here to tell you, fish have nothing on humans when it comes to drinking. Probably has to do with that whole "gill" thing.

"I LOVE ISLA!"

Sun, ocean, cigar and margarita. Live on Punta Sur is pretty dang good!

MORE GRINGO OPEN HIGHLIGHTS

Playa Mujeres with Isla in the background.

a little layed off at the top but this was the Day 3 winner

Mayakoba Day - before the rain nailed us on the last few holes.

Team Squito working on their outfits for the tourney. Yes, they were scary. But not as scary as their golf games...

FLASHERS ON ISLA (Children turn your heads)

Nice hats. Need work on the tans. These are two of Team Squito members who were squashed by Team Iggy. They are already plotting for next year and considering a change in name...

CANDLE IN THE WIND

From the Tequila bar. Drink a shot, burn a candle. Salute Pancho Villa. Sing a chorus from the Highway Men. "I was a highway man..." "All the federales say, we could have had him any day, they only let him go out of kindness I suppose"

GOLFER MISSES PUTT, FAINTS

FRIENDS ARRIVE FOR THE GRINGO OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Sponsored by Tequila.

This feller was quite the meal.

MONKEY BUSINESS

Not sure how to explain this, but somewhere on Punta Sur is the giant Monkey. Perhaps escaped from Hacienda Mundaca??

BOA YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU

We were walking along the path below our house, sometimes called "the Path," sometimes called "the Seaside Trail," sometimes the Chanteques Trail....but I digress. Admiring the iggy's, we saw this unusual tail coming out of the rocks. What kind of iggy tail was that??!! Upon closer inspection, we realized it was a Boa Constrictor. Looks like a big fella to me. In the 4 years I've been coming to Isla I've only seen 4 snakes, and one was a pet a guy used to show off on Hildago.

THE CIRCUS IS IN TOWN

A few rides including the classic Tilt-A-Whirl, my childhood favorite. Love the ladies on the bottom... Or hot wheels with Disney characters might be your speed.
Enjoy. Where's the cotton candy?
