Flag
In 1999, Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo started a program erecting giant flags across the country. Directed by the Secretariat of National Defense, the "banderas monumentales" (monumental flags) were placed in various cities and spots, most of which are of great significance to the nation. The decree also stipulated for the flags to measure 14.3 meters by 25 meters (47 x 82 feet), which are raised on flag poles that are 50 meters (164 feet) high.

Good Morning From Isla Mujeres Punta Sur
What a glorious morning on Paseo Punta Sur. I love the sunrises with some clouds - the interaction of the light and the clouds makes for magical moments. The light traveling millions of miles to pass through the clouds that have gathered just south of Isla from the waters of the Caribbean and they create this stunning moment. These moments last a few minutes and then another day on this tropical paradise begins. This time of year the day light is short so enjoy each precious moment. Absorb all the day has to bring.
